This is a great way to benefit from all the lobbying and information gathering they have carried out over the years on Lotteries. There is also the Hospice Lotteries Association which again is a great organistion to join. There has been much discussed concerning the limits of Lotteries in the UK and the following table gives the latest Gambling Commissions recomendations to Government. Our user base continues to grow with a number of Charities both large and small now using our system. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Havens Hospice in Portsmouth who started their lottery earlier this year (2008). We hope that they are as successful as all our other users. We receive many comments throughout the year from our users - keep them coming since each one influences what will be contained in the next software update. New Version of Lottery available... Version 8.2 of the software has been released and if you would like a copy please contact us. The new version covers the following : 1. Ability to carry out five types of draw including a Mid Week one. 2. You now have the choice of what type of database the Lottery System operates with. The existing standalone system can still be used but you can now upgrade to Microsoft's SQL server. The Lottery system is now fully Client Server with MSSQL and this gives you the benefit of queries being handled by a server and not your workstation. You also have the opportunity for your lottery data to use the same system as Raiser's Edge and other databases which use MSSQL. You can now query across a platform of databases. In either system we have now made the Lottery data accessible to outside programs. 3. Importing of data from other sources with the ability to query it together with the internal Lottery database. The software also de-duplicates the data so that mailings are only sent to one address. 4. Non modal use of most of the forms for recording data inputs for Members, Canvassers, Collectors and Managers. 5. Improved User Input and Printing Log Trail, so that you can see what you and your staff have changed in a day. 6. Full integration with Microsoft's Office 2000, 2003 and 2007 so that the data can be used by other tools. Your letters and lists can be produced in Word for example and you can carry out extra analysis by using Excel. 7. We have now added the ability to Roll-Over any prize in your draws. You can set the chance of the prize to Roll-Over like 50% chance of the prize being active at any one draw. Just like a non Roll-Over prize only Members who are in credit can win a Roll-Over prize. 8. You can now use Google maps to plot locations of your Members, Canvassers, Collectors, Managers etc. 9. From your ad hoc reports and queries you can now plot graphs from within the software. Raisers Edge and Lottery software now linked... For all of you who use Raisers Edge Fund Raising software and our Lottery System there is good news. A new plug-in piece of software is available so that Members data in both systems can be kept up-to-date. This allows you to add the Lottery data to Raisers Edge data and to keep both sets of data synchronised. Hence mass mailings can now be organised in Raisers Edge to include both its data and the Lottery Data. For details please contact us.
